The interview diary part 8

Tuesday, January 25, 2005

We had a great start of the week. Yesterday Kaley Cuoco’s agent informed our staff she really wants to help out with The big "Let’s go to California" campaign, one of the projects of Mission: Kaley Cuoco. Some readers might already know what this campaign is all about, those not aware yet: The big "Let’s go to California" campaign is all about a trip to Los Angeles to visit a taping of 8 Simple Rules. To make this trip more worthwhile the staff of this blog is trying to add something really special to this trip. Right now we’re negotiating with Kaley’s agent to arrange a personal meeting with Kaley Cuoco after the taping.

Last night Kaley’s agent informed us she really loves the idea. She was very excited about the campaign and told us to let her know when the trip is taking place. She will then inform Kaley about our visit and will try to arrange a personal meeting. There’s no guarantee yet the meeting will actually take place, Kaley’s agent isn’t the only one having a say in this, but so far prospects are looking good. Even Kaley’s agent thinks chances are reasonable, so right now we’re very excited about this opportunity.
Yesterday we also received an email from the UK office of Buena Vista International. We were asked to send them some more info about the interview we requested and ofcourse we did. We soon found out something had gone wrong in the process, somehow the English office thought we were requesting an exclusive interview instead of the pre existing interview we were promised. Our request was therefore denied, which shows there obviously wasn’t any decent communication between the American and English offices. We’re not very pleased with this outcome, so this week we’ll be contacting them again to tell them about our agreement with the American office.
Despite this little setback things are looking very good for Mission: Kaley Cuoco. The project is flourishing really and that’s great. Not just for me, but also for all those people that helped out and still work at the project. I guess it’s obvious these people and me are looking forward to the trip, right now we just can’t believe it’s actually going to happen. All of us are very excited, we never figured we would get this far. It feels like a giant reward for all the hard work we’ve done the past couple of months and I must confess our staff is still recovering from the surprise. I guess it also proves Kaley’s agent thinks we’re trustworthy and worth the effort, which is very flattering indeed. Man, this is awesome! I don’t know how else to put it…
